BASH “Shellshock” Vulnerability Information
You may have read or heard in the news the announcement of the BASH “Shellshock” remote code execution vulnerability. The bug affects Unix-based computer operating systems such as Linux and Mac OS X. Exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a compromise to the computer and any data stored/processed by it, or cause a loss of service.

Home Depot Data Breach
As a valued County Commerce Bank client, our primary focus is keeping your personal information safe and secure. We have been notified that some Visa Debit Cards may have been compromised in the course of a third party security breach at Home Depot. Please note that County Commerce Bank will continue to monitor your accounts according to our internal anti-fraud procedures however, you should remain vigilant for incidents of fraud and identity theft by regularly reviewing your account statements and monitoring your credit reports. OpenSSL “Heartbleed” bug Vulnerability Information
Important security information for all internet users regarding the Heartbleed bug:
Security researchers have recently discovered a vulnerability with “OpenSSL”, a technology used to provide encrypted communication to approximately two-thirds of secure sites on the internet. The “OpenSSL Heartbleed Bug” could allow unauthorized users to gain access to sensitive user data.
County Commerce Bank’s secure services such as our website, online banking, and remote deposit capture ARE NOT AFFECTED by the “OpenSSL” vulnerability because they do not use “Open SSL”.

Target Debit & Credit Card Breach Information
Target has confirmed that many debit and credit cards used at Target stores between November 27th and December 15th have been compromised (the data breach did not affect online purchases).
